About Dr. Lakeasha Sullivan:

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in midtown Atlanta.

Drawing from personal and professional experiences in the US and abroad, I specialize in helping clients navigate issues related to identity, intimacy, finding meaning and living more authentically in the face of internal and external pressures. Using this framework, I work to help clients understand and address depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and life stage stressors. I am collaborative and primarily use a relational (psychodynamic) approach that incorporates mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) techniques when appropriate. In my work with couples, I focus on skill-building and creating safe environments for emotional expression and exploration.

My unique background of having worked extensively with older adults facing end-of-life issues has been a privilege and greatly informs my approach to therapy with young and middle-age adults. I believe that developing healthy, authentic relationships with oneself and others is one of the most difficult tasks in life. Living and loving wholly can also be the surest path toward finding meaning and direction, regardless of age.

My practice focuses heavily on providing culturally-sensitive care that is affirming of diversity in all forms (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender expression, religion, age, nationality, etc.). My original private practice was in New York City; I’ve now relocated to Atlanta. l look forward to working with you and providing my expertise to our entire community.

I offer free initial 10-15 minute phone consultations by calling 913-303-0916. You can also book your first full face-to-face session (45 min for individuals; 60 min for couples) online.
